Photography, video, audio recording and your privacy

As a charity we use photography, video and audio recording to publicly promote our work, to help us raise funding from sponsors and other organisations and to provide an archive of our four amazing festivals each year.

Part of the natural process of putting on our festivals is the recording of events for the above purposes. All those active in gathering content at our events adhere to a strict code and wear identifying badges.

We use recorded content sensibly, never identifying individuals unless given written permission to do so.

Photography, video, audio recording and children

The safeguarding of children is our first priority when using recorded content.

We adhere closely to the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children’s guidelines on the use of images and video online, taking special care to protect a child’s privacy.

  • individuals are never identified by name
  • we take every reasonable care to ensure that appropriate permission is given
  • all staff recording or filming wear identification badges
