Chair of Literature Festival
Cheltenham Festivals is one of the leading cultural organisations in the country running a portfolio of four festivals: Jazz, Science, Music and Literature.
The Times Cheltenham Literature Festival offers over one hundred thousand members of the public a rare opportunity to interact directly with authors, performers, writers, poets and thinkers in a range of lively events. Established in 1949, Cheltenham is the oldest Literature Festival in the world, and we have ambitious plans for expansion over the next 5 years.
There is now a vacancy on the Board for the Chair of the Literature Festival. The applicant will need to demonstrate a strong empathy with literature and preferably senior board-level experience in a commercial or other large-scale organisation.
This is a voluntary position and board members are expected to dedicate 1-2 days per month providing fresh thinking, strategic advice and access to contacts and networks. All applications will be treated in confidence. To apply please send in a CV.
